White moves first. Select a piece, then a marked destination. The aim is to checkmate the opposing king. Arrow keys move focus; Enter or Space selects. Choose a new piece when a pawn promotes. Castling and en passant follow standard chess rules. Play white or black against a casual or clever local computer, or choose Two players to share one device. Undo takes back your turn and the computer reply; Hint suggests a move. Games end automatically on checkmate, stalemate, insufficient material, threefold repetition or the fifty-move rule.
